Therapy
My therapy work centres around an integrative, person-centred approach. I take from different models to best meet a client’s needs, with a particular focus on understanding the biology of stress and having more influence over our responses. I am a registered counsellor and I have a post-graduate qualifications in developmental trauma, and counselling and psychotherapy. I work with children and adults. I welcome neurodivergent clients, and LGBTIQA+ clients, and I also have a strong interest in the parenting journey. I am client-led in my approach, working with clients to look for interpersonal patterns, and parts of life that may not be serving them. Together we see what emerges from the space created in the therapy room. I work with clients for different amounts of time, including single sessions, which can be particularly helpful for parents looking for a touchpoint regarding parenting issues or issues around navigating additional supports within the school system. My philosophy is that each individual is the expert in their own lives and has within them the capacity for growth and healing, but I know that often it can be helpful to have someone walking alongside, supporting the development of insights. Working together with clients, we can shine a light in different areas of life on a search for authenticity, meaning and peace - wellbeing. My counselling space is located in South Morang, Victoria (or online), session charge is $150. Feel free to be in touch with any questions regarding counselling, or to request a 15 minute obligation free phone call to find out more about how we might work together. I am registered with the Australian Counselling Association (number 21377). I am on the Victorian Inclusive Practitioners list I am a member of Australian Professional Association for Trans Health (AusPATH) |
